Trailer Towing

Too many people learn how to tow trailers the hard way – by hitching up and driving off. Many are not even aware of the driving licence restrictions regarding trailer towing.

In our Introductory Course we cover licence requirements, safe coupling and uncoupling, legal weight restrictions, optimum load distribution, towing vehicle compatibility and specific risk scenarios. In terms of practical hands on training, we concentrate in the main on confined space manoeuvring, particularly in reverse, as this is the area that even experienced drivers tend to have issues with.

Safe vehicle control whilst trailer towing is a vital aspect of workplace safety and even quite experienced drivers can still benefit from our courses.
