On-Road Coaching - 4x4

You might question the value of 4x4 on-road coaching but it must be recognised that these vehicles have very different dynamic attributes to conventional road cars and that this justifies having a dedicated course for the purpose.

Although once again many of the hints and tips in the on-road coaching course for cars apply here, there is a strong focus on the reason for the handling compromises that this type of vehicle is nearly always saddled with, and the techniques that should be applied to deal with them.

The trainer will also briefly explain the effects of some of the 4x4-specific mechanical devices that are likely to be fitted to the vehicle and how they can potentially influence safety, economy and handling.
